Sky diving!

In June I skydived for charity!

Me and My dad took part in a sky dive in June 2015, it was by far one of the most thrilling events and amazing experiences of my life!

I have always wanted to sky dive from a young age! I remember seeing it once on TV and thinking I want to do that! ‘When your old enough’ mum use to say hoping I would grow out of it, but I never did, so when I turned 18 I booked my Sky dive and thought it would be great to raise funds for a charity!

My nanna is blind so I wanted to support a charity trying to improve people sight so that is why I chose RP fighting blindness. We raised just over £1,500 for the charity which was more than we expected and rewarding to see where the funds go and how they help others. I couldn’t imagine life without sight.

We dropped from just over 12,000 feet at 120 mph! ( scarrryyy!) the altitude was a lot thinner up there!

I hope to be able to sky dive again one day and maybe get my licence to do it solo!!

Books Glorious Books!

Books Glorious Books!

Put your hands in the air if your a book worm! I know I am!

A lot of people love books! some don’t, like my brother for example claims to have never read a book in his entire life? CRAZZYYYY….

I love the fact that when you read you can escape to that new world, different life, you can follow new characters on there journey and adventure!

I am usually found on a Sunday with hot chocolate in hand and a book in the other especially in winter! The Genre of book usually depends and sometimes I can be persuaded to read a book by its cover! I think its important to want to read the book before you start!

Here are some of my favourite books:

‘can we live here’ by Sarah Alderson

‘Glimpse’ by Stacey Wallace

‘Beautiful demons’ by Sarra Cannon

‘The Selection’ by Kiera cass

There is thousands of books out there! There will be 100% one for you!

Being an Author and my Books…

Being an Author & My books….

Last year at 17 my first children’s book was published ‘The Magical Adventure of Little Alf – The discovery of the wild pony’ which was a huge life changer and experience! I never knew I wanted to be an Author until that exact moment, I never thought it would be possible, through school I always struggled with spelling and English. I had always wanted to achieve publishing a book in my life, like most people I had jotted it down jokily on my ‘bucket list.’ (little did I know..)

Then along came Little Alf – my super cute fluffy miniature Shetland who just stands at 28 inches high, this makes him adorably cuddly and extra cheeky he even comes in to the house and knows exactly were the carrots are kept!

After starting an online blog with Little Alf, creating a twitter and Facebook page and gaining over 10K followers… my first book was published about him! It was a busy 6 months! Everyone wanted to second book after the first book! so I set about writing that which seemed to flow more natural than what my first book did, and 7 short months later the Second book was published ‘The Magical Adventure of Little Alf – The enchanted forest’

After the first 2 books I have planned an extra 4 to the series and I am currently working on ‘The Magical Adventure of Little Alf – The hidden secrets’ which I hope to have out and published in 2016!

At the End of this year I will be launching the Christmas sequel to the Little Alf Adventure series, which I can’t wait to do because I LOVE CHRISTMAS! my most favourite time of the year! (The cold days, on the sofa with the dogs and a hot chocolate in my hand!)

Little Alf CoverChristmas Book!

As well as publishing the Little Alf series I am currently working on a teenage book called ‘The Travel Girl’ which I hope to be published at the end of this year/2016 ! I have around 20,000 words to go until it will be completed!

The reason I decided to write the Travel Girl is because I have travelled to lots of destinations, such as Egypt, Italy, France, Paris, Ireland, Spain, Austria… ect and had many wonderful experience! Although the Travel Girl is not a real story it does include some of the experiences I have had and some of the very embarrassing experiences to, which make me cringe all over again having to write about them! I hope that when the Travel Girl is published many people will be able to relate! So many young people go travelling now, and backpacking across the world!

The Travel Girl is based on a Girl called ‘Felicerty Hartford’ a completely made up character who is wanting to escape her life, she has always wanted to travel the world so when her parents and brother go away with work for 6 weeks, Felicerty does too… she has many wonderful experiences and enjoys been away but when her money starts to run out an she finds herself in some very sticky situations, travelling soon isn’t what it is made out to be…. will time catch her up? And hat consequences will she face…?
